Hellooo I'm back after a super long hiatus. Not that I was hibernating, I wish! Plus it's turning summer now so I would probably die of stuffiness.
Well here are the overload of (food) pictures from May. I have been eating properly (:

My favourite dish(es). Stirfried beansprouts and chicken. I think the chicken dish will be The Charmine dish from now on. So yummy, if I do say so myself xD

Stirfried beef with green pepper and mushroom.

Strifried pork with cabbage and mushroom.
Hahaha my point here is that I've been experimenting with different meat as opposed to my previous silent rule of only buying and handling chicken meat. Conclusion: I still like chicken meat the best cos it doesn't have the meaty taste unlike pork and beef but the only meat fat I dare to eat is from beef. Pork is too fatty and chicken is too.. white and conspicuous?? HAHA I love beef bowls :D

Stirfried spinach with mushroom and crabmeat shreds.
I'm really happy having my own kitchen. Can't wait to get a bigger one in 2 years! :D

Beard Papa! Soooooooo good I tell you! Especially the custard!! But of course it comes with a Price to pay ):
And here's something cute from Osaka when I went last month (:

So cute right!!!!! Couldn't resist buying them (:
Okay end of food pictures.

So what have I been busy with, you ask? SCHOOL! All of you who have talked to me and asked me how's school, I'm sure I've given you the same answer: CRAZY. Like really really. I'm not even sure of the dates that pass by me cos every day seems to pass so quickly. Like something that happened last week can feel like it only happened yesterday. It's so scary. And that means exams will approach before I even realise!!! >"< But of course that means the day when I get to go home will be here before I even know it! :D :D
And why's school so busy, you ask again. Basically I end school at 6 almost every day (except on Tuesday) and when I come home and wash up and cook, by the time I settle down it's like 9pm. Where got time to do homework and revision you tell me!! I'm lagging behind my studies, and it doesn't help that I don't understand half of my lecture (haha I don't know how I manage to say this calmly every time) and that I'm in 3 "CCAs". Really racing against time. 24 hours a day is really challenging. All I can do is lean on His strength. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me! (:
Oh and last week when I was in Shinjuku, this was what caught my attention.
Yes it's a demostration! I don't know what the police officers are doing there, are they ensuring that no protesters go wild and try something funny or are they in the demo too??? Hahaha. It's apparently a demo against some Okinawa and America soldiers issue thingy. Sorry I'm so out of touch with the news o.O and they were holding plague cards asking Hatoyama (Japan's PM) to resign. And guess what! The next day (or maybe it was a few days later) I heard that he really resigned! Japan's politics.. it changes too fast for me to keep up with it anymore so I don't bother. But this was really something new to me cos I've only seen demos on TV in my life. What's funny is that when we saw the demo, our convo went like that:
Char: What's that!
XX: Hmm.. a festival?
Char: Oooh, what festival is that? Is today someday special?
XX: Don't know..
(Pauses)
Char: HEY WAIT. It's a demo!!!!!
It was really a peaceful demo. Like not those kinda where police have to whack people with their batons to keep order. They were just marching along in one line and playing some music. That's why we first mistook it as a festival when we didn't read the plague cards properly.
We really learn something new every day! Especially when we're out of Singapore! Singapore's soo sheltered. We aren't allowed to do demos, we don't have natural disasters, most of us have a roof over our heads and we get to eat 3 meals a day (some people even eat more than 3 meals a day, while on the other extreme, some people don't even eat by choice). People who complain about living in Singapore - seriously, you don't know what's hardship until you've experienced one. So quit complaining about Singapore okay! Yes, the weather is so freaking hot, but are you dying from the heat? We have aircons and fans but people over in say, India, are dying from the 45degrees heat and they don't even have the luxury of aircons or fans in some places. The best thing is that Singapore is so safe from natural disasters, especially no earthquakes and typhoons and tsunamis. Do you even know how blessed we are? Japanese are so envious of us whenever I say we don't have natural disasters in Singapore. They find it hard to believe cos they've been brought up knowing them like the back of their hands. Our education system - we're spoonfed, we're only good at memorising. True, but I think Lee Kuan Yew was so wise in implementing the bilingual education system. I can't tell you how proud I am to be able to speak both English and Chinese while people struggle with learning the two major languages in this world. And I can't tell you how much I love Singlish. I've said it before in another post last year but I'm still gonna say it. The thrill of speaking Singlish in a foreign country is unexplainable. If you think it's a disgrace, I'll tell you this: That's cos you don't make the effort to learn how to speak proper English. If you're able to switch between proper English and Singlish, you'll see the joy of the latter. So it's your fault, not Singlish's.
Hee, think I just wrote an essay titled "A Singaporean's Pride". Hahahahaha as I was telling Kegan, I think Japan's gonna mould us into patriotics after our 4 years here. He wore a Singapore shirt to school the next day after the table tennis match where Singapore trashed China. Well the players are China-Chinese anyway, I pointed out. But he said "Just looking at Singapore's flag makes me happy". HAHAHA.

It's so sad that we have a never-ending lust for money. So what if you're rich? Can you bring money with you to your grave?
Money's important of course, but is it so important that you're willing to go against your moral values and ruin your life?
It's sad that you're rejecting and cursing Eternity that you don't even know and understand.
