Was reading an old classmate's blog and I'm really impressed with her perseverance and faith in God through her 4 torturous years in Law School. It's such a joy to read entries after entries filled with thanksgiving & hope (everyone knows how stoic you have to be to get through law school). I know 3 people who have shed weight almost equivalent to one human being just being in law school :P It's very encouraging and it sure is a much-needed break from most blogs out there nowadays that are filled with rantings and complaints. There is really so much joy & beauty in simplicity, 'Blessed are the pure in heart'. Have faith like a child, Charmine!
This week was supposed to be the official week school starts but my department apparently has a tradition (that's what they say) to take a week off (don't ask me why, but I'm not complaining!), so I'm free today although Monday is supposed to be almost a full day :D
Okay, picture time of random things!

Sakuras are in full bloom now! The people who planted sakura trees alongside the whole stretch of roads were so smart! It's really beautiful.

Web effect? God's creations are amaaaazing.
This was what I had for dinner yesterday! Because I had leftover coconut powder and because I was watching a program featuring curries and because I have to quickly use up the 8725873621792 curry pastes my mom sent me (actually just 2 haha) before they expire. I really have a knack of storing food.

Lots of ingredients! Was really yummy except for the fact that the eggplants I salted were not rid of all their salt. I only realised this after I panfried them so in turn they turned the curry saltier than it should have been ): Having this again for dinner tonight YUM :D
This was breakfast today: Apple-cinnamon oatmeal.
I'm trying to lead a healthier lifestyle because I have pounds to shed.
"Figured out" a few ways to prevent excessive eating (works for me, at least):
- Brushing my teeth after dinner so I don't snack. (This will be effective for the lazy + people anal about oral hygiene.)
- Not stocking up junk food at home. (Okay this is really painful, especially when you're craving for some junk and there's nothing to eat at home. But that's precisely why it's effective. Prevention is the cure!)
- Eating wholemeal stuff so it keeps you fuller for longer periods of time. (so you don't start snacking.)
- If you have to snack, snack on fruits/nuts. (This is not a torture to me at all. They are my top 2 most favourite foods in the world.)
Thanksgiving:
- Eric's baptism yesterday! :DD
- Awesome warm temperature today.
- For the encouragement I needed from that friend's blog.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know, He holds the future.
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
Love this song, so full of promise and hope.
Now, it's up to me to apply that promise in my life!
