Androgeny.

Oh my. This will be one harrowing week.

Ruth said that having to deal with Visa issues seem to be such grown-up problems - and i agree! If you asked me a few years ago if I would be dealing with Visa, my reply would be "Huh, what's a Visa for?"

And now here I am, panicking over it.

Let me tell you what Visa screwups can entail:

1. It can deny you access to the designated country.
2. It can screw up all your plans and schedules.
3. It can cause in flight delays.
4. It can cause me to miss Orientation Week.
5. It can cause incovenience to everyone, and i mean everyone.
6. It can cause me to get heart attacks and sleepless mornings when I'm supposed to sleep in and enjoy the weather.

And now, let me tell you what caused the Visa screwup.

I need a thing called the Certificate of Eligibility (COE, in short) which is a cert from the Ministry of Justice in Japan to prove that I'm eligible and qualified to go into Japan. Sounds formal and serious enough right? But guess what?

They got my gender wrong.

Okay I know you want to laugh now. Go ahead and laugh.

But. I'm not kidding.

Like, how, HOW can they get my gender wrong? Which part of my face or my name screams "I'm a GUY!"?

When I was scrutinising my COE, and happened to notice the mistake, my heart literally doubled over and I was just staring at it, mouth agape.

HOW?

Sigh.

But in times like this, I just gotta have faith that everything will be fine. If God brings you to it, He'll bring you through it. He has never given me a reason to doubt this before.

On a side note, thank you to all those who planned those lovely farewell surprises. I was honestly surprised/touched/embarassed all at the same time. For someone who isn't used to getting the limelight, that was one heck of an experience. But I loved them all :D Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou! You have no idea how much the farewells mean to me. I promise they'll stay with me in memory for life. (:

And here's the Picture Of The Week (:

PS: Would someone tell me how to do layering of clothes (especially if you need to wear >4 layers) without looking bulky + if your clothes are all in one size. How does the uppermost layer manage to fit the layers beneath? Ah, I don't make sense, do I? I'm sure noone will understand my question.
